This is the new blacklight tattoo I put on him on his most recent visit. This can only be seen under a blacklight, it is invisible on the skin otherwise. I'll have to get a new pic after its fully healed as this was taken right after it was done and the fresh blood keeps the ink from glowing as well as it should.
It is pretty thin but thats because its water based. They suggest refilling the ink cap a bunch of times with fresh shaken ink because the pigment settles out really quick. I haven't found that it is too much trouble, it doesn't take too much pigment to glow really bright. You do have to do an extra pass on the skin that you really wouldn't do if you were using regular ink, but it still heals well. I'll warn you that the tattoo looks like hell in normal light as it heals, because the ink is pretty much clear it looks like a big burn or nasty scrape on the arm for a little while before the scabs come off and it stays shiny for a while. I didn't have the cash to get any of the colors yet, but i figured the allure of this ink is that generally you can't see it in normal light, but if you have darker skin you will still see it. The colors you will see no matter what, only the titanium white blends in with skin.
I dropped 140 bucks online about a week ago for 2 oz of white and a 1/2 oz set of colors so I'll be giving them a try soon. Seems to be lots of interest among the folks in my neck of the woods, especially those that want a tattoo but don't want their Mommies and Daddies to know...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Do you find the Chameleon UV white hard to work in?
I just ordered some and have heard it's pretty thin.
Used any colors yet?
I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this ink.
Love your work, btw.
